Pioneers’ field gets a new net

Beau Allen, former Pioneer standout and Olustee All-Stater, stands on top of the lift to install the new backstop netting at the baseball field at Western Oklahoma State College. The home opener set for Monday, Feb. 8 was moved to Dallas. The Pioneers will open at home on Friday, Feb. 12th. The old net had a rip in it from top to bottom. It was damaged in a 2015 ice/snow storm. The funds generated from the community during the Harlem Ambassadors game last Saturday evening allowed for the purchase of the new net.
