Western men’s basketball wraps up Fall play

The Western Pioneers have completed the first leg of the their basketball season and presently stand 2-2 in Region 2 play. Western has produced some solid non-conference victories over New Mexico Military Institute, Clarendon College, Frank Phillips and Western Texas. The Pioneers have also managed to defeat league favorite Northern Tonkawa.

Sophomore, Tyren Harrison leads the Pioneers in scoring with 18.5 points per game (ppg), followed by Sophomore, Imani Edwards at 13.4 ppg and Sophomore, Rasheed Wallace at 12.3 ppg. Cal State Fullerton signee Arkim Robertson is averaging 6.3 ppg , 6.8 rebounds per game and two blocks per contest.

Western takes on Frank Phillips College away January 4, 2016 to tip off the new year followed by Connors State away January 7, 2016 to resume Region 2 play.
