Braves draft Pioneer on day 2


Justin Ellison, the Western Oklahoma State College Pioneer centerfielder, was selected by the Atlanta Braves yesterday on the second day of the 2015 MLB amateur draft. Ellison averaged .429 for the Pioneers and led the country in runs scored, 3rd in hits, 3rd in home runs, 2nd in total bases, 2nd in walks and 6th in slugging percentage. The Braves drafted Ellison in the 12th round as the #360 pick in the draft. Ellison signed a letter of intent a few weeks ago to play at OSU next year. He has not decided yet whether he will turn pro or head to Stillwater. Congratulations Justin.
