AJH girls win Hobart Cross Country Meet

HOBART – The Altus Junior High girls took the top four spots and five of the top 10 to claim the team championship at the Hobart Invitational Cross Country Meet.

Bethany Garrison took the individual championship with a time of 9:57 for the 2600m run. Rylee Borrego (10:00) and Cayden Beckner (10:01) were right behind in second and third place. Sarah Scott finished fourth (10:12), while Grayce Gilliam finished 10th (10:43).

The Lady Dawgs have won every meet they have entered so far this year. They will travel to Lawton next Friday and then head to the Junior High All-Star State Meet on Oct. 16.

Moses McCaskill (13:17) led the Junior High boys in the 3200 run with a sixth place finish. Calvin Wagoner (13:26) was eighth place overall.
