The student section stirs up some noise last week during the Bulldog victory over Anadarko.

It’s game day for fans of the Altus High School Bulldogs. Those of you making the trip to Elk City for the game will need to be prepared for a few things.

Keep the weather in mind. It’s already trying to drip some much needed showers on Southwest Oklahoma. The forecast calls for showers toward the end of the game.

The Elk City stadium is also situated on the northwest corner of town. The nearest intersection is at Pioneer Road and State Highway 6. It is part of the Elk City Park featuring ponds, tennis courts and a carousel. The field is north of the baseball facility.

Up on a hill to the west of the park is the beautiful little league baseball and softball facilities. I encourage anyone that has a few extra minutes this evening to drive over and take a look at it. It’s something many citizens of Altus would like to see built for our own community. That little league facility brings in a large amount of revenue for Elk City.

The Bulldogs will wrap up their non-conference schedule tonight. They look to remain unbeaten heading into district play.

GO BULLDOGS !!
