David Gilstad picked up his first high school victory on the mound over Dover in the Labor Day Tournament 14-4.
Gilstad yielded 10 hits and one walk. “David has pitched pretty well for us in relief this year,” said head coach, Weston Winters. “He didn’t have his best stuff today but battled to let our hitters have more chances to get something going.”
Offensively, Maxwell Smith was 3-3 with a single, double and a solo home run in the third inning. Jacob Hall was 2-3 with a three run double. Ethan Taylor was 2-2 with two singles.
Navajo was to play Blair Saturday at 11 a.m. at Eakly.
