Jackson County is conducting a public hearing on Monday, March 17, at 8:30 a.m. The hearing will be held at the Jackson County Courthouse, 101 North Main, Room 101, Altus.The purpose of the hearing is for the proposed CDBG Grant Application for restoration of ECR159 between SCR206 and SCR210, and to discuss the possibility of Jackson County submitting a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce for 2014 funding.

Altus police are investigating an early morning stabbing that sent one man to Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
