Altus police responded to Scooters, 2101 East Broadway, early Saturday morning, Feb. 23. After arriving at approximately 1:36 a.m., police discovered someone had been stabbed. The 21-year-old victim told police while he was walking to his vehicle when the 21-year-old suspect he identified walked by and stabbed him in the abdomen. Oklahoma State Highway Patrol responded to a one car accident near Nance Landscaping on Highway 283 Monday. Special City Council meeting to vote on Special Election
The City Council will hold a special meeting on Friday, Feb. 22, at 12 noon in Council Chambers, to consider, discuss, and vote to authorize Mayor David Webb to issue an order to call for a special municipal election, to be held on April 2.
