Today history was made in Jackson County Oklahoma. Two Republican women sought the office of Jackson County Clerk with no one filing for opposition on the Democrat ticket. Both of these ladies, Christi Hair and Robin Booker, made us all proud by running a good clean race. I appreciate their willingness to serve our County and for all of their hard work.

A lot of people found disappointment today when they went to the polls to vote and found that they would not be able to vote in this race. They found that Jackson County is quickly becoming a county that you don’t have to register as a Democrat in order to vote. They actually found for the first time in history that the opposite is now ringing true. Citizens of Jackson County, it is time to study the platforms of both parties and see which one that you align with and then register in that party. I promise that the Republican Party in Jackson County will work to make sure that there is a person that you will be able to vote for in all of the elections. Don’t find yourself standing on the sidelines unable to vote again.

Christi Hair, thank you for your four years of service to us all and Robin Booker, good luck to you as you begin your term.

God bless you both!!!

Once again the NCAA botched it

Should council members be elected by ward only, "at-large" only, or a combination of the two?
