A line began to form at Altus High School by 8 a.m. yesterday for student enrollment that didn’t start until 4 p.m. By noon, the line was all the way around the school’s cafeteria where the enrollment was taking place. One parent in line said, “There are only a limited number of pre-K classes available, and we all want to get our children enrolled in one of them.” By 2 p.m., officials let people come in from the hot weather, but parents had to take a number and wait for the 4 p.m. start time.
