WOSC Foundation to recognize donors at annual banquet

Larry Duffy, WOSC Vice President for Development, presents Jimmy and Jessica Poe with a plaque recognizing them as the newest donors to the WOSC Foundation, Inc.’s President’s Partner Program. Jimmy is the Safety and Security Coordinator at Western and Jessica is a Certified Nurse Anesthetist at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Dr. Phil Birdine joined to welcome the pair to the program.

The WOSC Foundation, Inc. will be recognizing the generous gifts of its donors at the annual WOSC Foundation and Alumni Recognition Banquet on Friday, Feb. 1 at 6:30 p.m. The event will specifically acknowledge those donors reaching Foundation Fellow, Foundation Collegiate Club, Foundation Scholar’s Club, Foundation Dean’s Club and Foundation Regent’s Club giving levels during 2012. It is through these gifts that the WOSC Foundation, Inc. is able to provide the financial support necessary to enable Western to achieve expanded goals that are otherwise not possible on limited funding. The WOSC Foundation, Inc. and Western Oklahoma State College thank the following donors for their continued support: WOSC Foundation Fellow- Jacqueline and Thomas Bellamy, Nathan and Katie Dowden, Joe and Jay Felker, Nicholas and Heather Hood, Thomas and Jacquelyn Linares, Dr. Jason and Stephanie Morrison, John and Denise Phelan, Jimmy and Jessica Poe, Altus Laundry and Cleaners, Inc.- Jim and Terri Redding, Ryan and Kortni Robbins, Jasper and Shirley Rowland, Justin and Melissa Smith, Vernon Dr. Pepper and Bottling Company- James and Carla Thompson, and Wayne and Radonna Whitaker. The WOSC Foundation, Inc. promotes and fosters educational interests of the college through endowments, loans, scholarships, and other types of financial assistance. The Foundation seeks continuous support from individuals, businesses, civic groups, foundations, and service organizations and provides a variety of opportunities to share in the future of Western Oklahoma State College and its continuing commitment to excellence.
In addition to acknowledging donors, the WOSC Foundation and Alumni Recognition Banquet will also honor the 2013 Hall of Fame Inductee, Jason Paul Kruska. Dinner and entertainment by the Mid-American String Quartet will also be provided.
