The body of Melissa Bost, 49, was found Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the 1000 block of East Sutherland in Altus, in an abandoned vehicle. Police are treating this case as a homicide. Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s office was said to have cited the cause of death as “sharp force trauma to the head and neck”.
The Altus Jackson County CrimeStoppers are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for her homicide. Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to call Altus Jackson County CrimeStoppers at 580-482-TIPS (8477), or the Altus Police Department at 580-482-4121. Additionally, persons can call or text their tip to Detective Bill Perkins at 580-471-3869. Persons may remain anonymous and still be eligible for the cash reward.
