District 52 Representative Charles Ortega (R) of Altus met with constituent Michael Fairchild and his daughter and current Miss Altus Christin Fairchild recently at the State Capitol.. Christin was recently selected as Miss Altus, and her platform is “Inspire the Heart with Art.” She spoke with Ortega about her experience at the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain, and thanked him for his support of the program through legislative funding. The Fairchilds were joined by Julie Cohen, Oklahoma Arts Institute President and CEO, and Danette Evans and Judy Dickenson of the Miss Altus pageant.
