Congratulations to our Monday $1,000 Candy Cane Cash “Sweet”stakes winner Kenneth Lemaster. The winning ticket was an anonymous gift to Kenneth, and the ticket came from Barnett, Allen & Mitchell Farmers, Ins. Pictured is Heath Barnett, Agent Farmers Ins., Kenneth Lemaster, Amy Jo Cobb, Main Street Altus program manager and T.A. Allen, Agent with Farmers Insurance. The community of Altus received a gift yesterday…The final Candy Cane Cash “Sweet”stakes ticket has been claimed by Kenneth Lemaster, and the way it happened is touching. Christy Lemaster, Kenneth’s wife, received an anonymous phone call telling her to go out and check her windshield of her parked car that was at their home. When Christy did, she found an envelope with a personal hand written note that said “Merry Christmas. Contact the Main Street Altus office at…” The winning ticket was attached to the note. Thank you to the anonymous ticket holder who received the ticket from Barnett, Allen & Mitchell Farmers Insurance. You certainly did a great act of kindness for Kenneth, and for all of us in the community who hears about this…what a gift we have received too. To hear about the kindness of heart from one person to another, now it is up to each of us to use our gift and do as the anonymous ticket holder. Whether your act of kindness is big or small, noticed or unnoticed it is your gift to someone who is in need. Merry Christmas from Main Street Altus Board of Directors and thank you to all of the Candy Cane Cash “Sweet”stakes sponsors who are all apart of making this event happen.
