Altus Police responded to the Ridgecrest Apartments Sunday evening shortly before 6 p.m. to investigate calls of shots being fired.
While officers were en route, a second call came into police that a female had been shot. The victim, Jazznea Nicole Harris, 19, was struck once in the upper right side of her back. She was transported to Jackson County Memorial Hospital and later mediflighted to an Oklahoma City hospital. Her current condition is not known at this time. The shooting took place in the parking lot of the Ridgecrest Apartments in southwest Altus.
Altus Police Chief Tim Murphy is asking for help in locating two men wanted for questioning concerning this, and other recent shootings in southwest Altus.
Murphy said that the first, Brent Andrew Robinson, 30, is suspected of shooting the 19-year-old Harris in the parking lot of the Ridgecrest Apartments on Sunday evening. Robinson is a black male, 6 ft., 1 inches tall, weighing approximately 185 lbs.
The other person wanted for questioning is Brandon Carnell Gipson, 24. Murphy said that he is suspected in the drive by shooting on Wednesday, Jan. 23 in the 600 block of Martin Luther King in which a nearby church was hit from stray bullets during a church service.. No injuries were reported in this drive by. Gipson is also a black male, approximately 5 ft., 10 inches tall, weighing 190 lbs.
