The Western Oklahoma State College Alumni Association is excited to announce the sale of the 2013 Pioneer Perks Card beginning Monday, Nov. 5. Now in its fourth year, the program has proven to be a successful fundraiser for Western’s student clubs, organizations and the Alumni Association. Last year the WOSC Alumni Association was able to distribute over $6,000 to clubs and organizations that participated in selling Pioneer Perks Cards.

These funds help increase club liveliness and allow them the financial ability to participate in and organize additional club activities. The proceeds from the Pioneer Perks Card Program also make it possible for the WOSC Alumni Association to fund its many projects, including the WOSC Alumni Hall of Fame Endowment and the WOSC Lifetime Alumni Association Member Recognition Tree.

This year’s BLITZ COMPETITION will reward the students selling the most Perks Cards during the competition time frame of Nov. 5 through Nov. 20. The top three students will receive cash prizes of $100, $75, and $50 respectively. Student clubs will continue to sell Perks Cards after the competition period is over and will continue to claim a portion of the card sales.

The 2013 Pioneer Perks Cards will be available at the Western Oklahoma State College Development and Alumni Office, Papa Johns (Altus) and Main Express Mart. You can also purchase your cards directly from Western student club representatives. Cards are $10.

The 2013 Pioneer Perks cards will become valid at participating businesses beginning Jan. 1, 2013 and may be used through Dec. 31, 2013. The cards offer discounts at 20 vendors throughout the Altus area. Perks card holders must present the card to receive the discount given by each business and the cards are valid for the card holder only. Participating businesses include: All-America in Blair, Fancy Nails, Holder Brothers Beef, Maurice’s, Robert’s Drive-In, Benny’s Mexican Food and Pizza, Fat Daddy’s Grill, Home Health Products, McDonald’s (Altus), Rustic Rose, Carl and Carmen’s Creations, Gems, Etc., Lazy C Western Wear, Papa John’s, Smiley’s Tire, Century 7 Beauty Salon, H&H Furniture, Main Express Mart, Rexco and Ye Olde Donut Shop.
