A pet photo contest is being held by Friends of Altus Paws. Proceeds of this will help pay for transport costs, pre-transport vetting, vaccinations, and emergency medical care for stray and abandoned animals.
Photos of pets, along with an entry fee of $10 per photo should be emailed to “pleaseadoptme2@hotmail.com”. The entry fee should be sent via PayPal to the same email address. Winning entries in Dog, Cat, and Other categories will be determined by the highest number of “likes” by 9 a.m. Central time on Sunday, Oct. 7.
A pet gift basket and a $25 pet outlet gift card will be awarded to winners in each category. Winning photos will also qualify to become stars in the 2013 calendar. The overall winning photos winner will receive an antique personalized photo frame valued at $100.
