Emergency responders were called to the 400 block of East Broadway Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. after a pedestrian was hit crossing the street. Eye witnesses say that the woman was running across the busy street when she was hit by the white extended cab Chevy pickup seen at left. Six emergency responders are shown here getting the victim onto a stretcher for transport to Jackson County Memorial Hospital. The woman was said to have a pulse, but was unresponsive. Her current condition was not known at presstime.
