The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was called in by the Mangum Police Department after a stabbing in Mangum on Monday evening.

Reports out of Mangum are that a 911 call was made at 8:45 p.m. Monday by the neighbor of the victim. The caller said that a woman was stabbed multiple times, but was able to make her way to the neighbor’s home. At that point, the police were notified. Police began a search for the suspect, who was reported to be driving a pickup. The pickup was found Tuesday morning.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Quartz Mountain Medical Center and later transferred by ambulance to Oklahoma City. Her condition is unknown at this time.
