Jackson County Fair Board Election filing period set

The Jackson County Commissioners had their a regular Monday meeting on Nov. 19, at 10 a.m.

They approved the minutes from last meeting, Tuesday, Nov. 13.

There were no reports, Officers’ reports, or blanket purchase orders.

The commissioners approved Resolution 2012-42 to set the filing period for the Jackson County Fair Board Election commencing on Dec. 3, at 8:00 a.m. through Dec. 5, at 4 p.m.

A temporary transfer of funds was approved from the Sheriff’s Office to the County General Fund for payroll. This transfer is for $120,000.

The commissioners approved the appointment of Dorthy Butler to serve on the Jackson County Emergency Medical Services Board to fill the un-expired term of Jimmie Ewing.

They opened bids for a used 2007 or newer Track-Mounted Double Deck Direct Screen Plant. They approved the bid from G.W. Vankeppel for $75,900 for the item.

The commissioners approved advertising for bids for one or more new Motor Graders.

They also approved the advertisement for Road and Bridge Materials, Tires, and Herbicides for Jan. 1, 2013 through June 30, 2013.

The Regular Meeting Dates for 2013 were approved.

The commissioners voted to enter into Executive Session to discuss part time employee benefits and when through, voted to continue with regular meeting.

The new ACCO Personnel Policy is being considered. Officers are giving their input and when it is ready again for review, the commissioners will bring it again to the officers. They took no action on this item this time.

There was no new business. The claims were approved and the meeting adjourned at 10:39 a.m.
