Altus police responded to an accident with injury Tuesday at approximately 11:47 a.m. at the intersection of N. Park Ln. and E. Tamerack.

The investigation showed that a 2012 Toyota, driven by Lauren Santacruz, 26, was west bound and had stopped at the intersection. Another vehicle, a 2002 Buick, driven by Ruby Stoops, 73, was north bound and had also stopped at the interesection. Both drivers told police they proceeded because they thought they had the right of way. After the impact, the Stoops vehicle traveled over the curb and landed in the ditch at the northeast corner of the intersection.
