CACHE - The Altus High basketball teams dropped a pair of games to Cache on Friday night. The Bulldogs were defeatedwhile the Lady Bulldogs suffered a 51-39 setback.

The Bulldogs struggled offensively down the stretch. Altus trailed 30-26 at halftime. The Bulldogs were outscored 18-10 in the third period and trailed at that time 48-36.

Altus (6-6) showed some life early in the fourth period when Devin Wilkerson hit a three point shot and Malik Knight followed with a basket. The Bulldogs trailed only 48-41 but Cache reeled off eight unanswered points to gain control of the game.

The Bulldogs kept coming back. After trailing by as many as 16 points, they did cut the deficit into single digits with about a minute left.

Kasen Warren led Altus in scoring with 20 points. Devin Wilkerson finished with 16 points.

The Lady Bulldogs (4-11) were within striking distance trailing only 40-32 after three periods.

However, Altus struggled offensively and scored only seven points in the final seven minutes.

Tisay Woodhouse scored 12 points to lead Altus. Carsyn King and Itiya Knight finished with eight points each.

The Altus teams will host Clinton on Tuesday night. The girls game tips off at 6:30 p.m. and the boys’ contest is scheduled for 8 p.m.
