The Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group will meet Thursday, Oct. 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The event will be held at Tamarack Assisted Living Activity Center, 1224 E. Tamarack Road, in Altus.

The purpose of the meeting: The Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Support Group exists to provide caregivers and those diagnosed with the latest facts and resources to care for someone with Alzheimer’s disease. The Support Group is open to the public. Discussions are for the benefit of all that attend; centering on the stages of Alzheimer’s disease, resources, and Caregiver concerns and stresses.

Plan now to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 3. Challenge your friends, co-workers and family members; form a team or individually walk for Alzheimer’s Disease awareness. Walk a little or walk all the way around the reservoir. Your support contributes to the Alzheimer’s Association vision of a world without Alzheimer’s. Formed in 1980, the Alzheimer’s Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Refreshments will be provided.
