WEATHERFORD, Okla. (AP) — Tanner Ducotey rushed for 275 yards and two scores, while Tanner Bowman added 112 yards and three scores, as Cherokee beat Tipton 38-14 Saturday for the Oklahoma Class C high school football title in a matchup of unbeaten teams.


Tipton was trying for its second consecutive title. Cherokee won the title for the second time in four years.


The Chiefs jumped to a 16-0 lead after one quarter with two Bowman scores. Ducote added a 37-yard run to make it 24-0, but Jagger Jones took the ensuing kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown to make it 24-6.


Cherokee carried the ball 55 times for 466 yards while attempting just two passes. Tipton had 214 yards on the ground, with 114 coming from Gerald White. Two drives ended at the 1.
