This past week the Blair FFA has taken home several awards from recent Career Development Event (CDE) contests.


Saturday, April 5, at the Altus FFA Interscholastic, Blair had 1st place senior FFA team in livestock judging and high individual went to McKynzi Forster. Blair also won 1st place 4-H team in livestock judging and high individual was Casey Burnett.


Blair went on to the Cameron Interscholastics in Lawton on April 9 with the livestock and meat judging teams. The Jr. 4-H livestock judging team was 2nd place team and Baylor Downing was 9th high individual. The Jr. FFA livestock judging team was 4th place with McKynzi Forster as 6th high individual. The meats team also did well at Cameron with 3rd place team and Dylan Lucas as 9th high individual and Trace George as 10th high individual.


The Altus P.I. speech contest was held April 10. Lynia Alexander placed 2nd in the division of Animal Science and McKenzie Morris placed 2nd in the division of Natural Resources. The girls will go on to compete in the district speech contest on April 22nd in Lawton.


The other teams look forward to the Redlands Community College Interscholastics today, April 15, and the State FFA Contest at OSU on April 26.
