Entering into a contract with Pope Contracting of Oklahoma City for a combined total bid of $1,665,600 and 260 calendar days for construction work will be addressed for approval at the regular meeting of the Altus Board of Education on Monday.
The contract will include exterior renovations of the Vo-Ag Facility, and construction of a new high school cafeteria corridor connector and a new standing seam metal retrofit roof installation with HVAC upgrades and retrofits at Will Rogers Elementary School.
The meeting will be held in the conference room at the administrative center, 219 N. Lee beginning at 5 p.m.
Career Tech programs for 2014-15, Capital Improvement and Technology, activity fundraisers, a license agreement with New Lion Media Group, and items to be declared as surplus will all be considered under the Superintendents report.
Revised policies dealing with Wellness and Tobacco Use in Schools will be addressed, as well as retirements, resignations, reassignments, proposed substitutes, time sheet employees, volunteers and extra duty assignments.
The proposed executive session will be discuss proposed new hires, and after reconvening into regular session, consider and take necessary action on employment.
The Board will also consider approving regular contracts for certified career staff, temporary contracts for retired certified staff, and temporary contracts for certified staff to be hired on a 1st or 2nd year.
The Board will then address the Summer Food Service Program, Non-Program Adult Meal Charge Rate, and the List of Summer Food Service Program Workers.
‘That Altus Band’ performing in the 75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Parade (Waikiki Holiday Parade) in November 2016 will also be addressed.
