A personal injury collision happened Monday at about 1:50 a.m. in Greer County on State Hwy 34A, about a half mile west of Willow.


According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Elizabeth Escobedo, 54, of Willow, was driving a 2005 Hyundai Accent when she failed to negotiate a curve. She left the roadway and hit the ditch. The accident was said to have been unsafe speeds on on ice and snow.


She was taken by private vehicle to Quartz Mountain Medical Center in Mangum and admitted in stable condition with trunk internal injuries.


There were no passengers, and no other vehicles were involved. Seat belts were equipped, but not in use. Airbags were equipped and deployed.


The accident was investigated by Trooper Justin Garrison of Harmon County, and was assisted by the Greer County Sheriff’s Department.
