Helping to re-stock the local Community Cupboard, sacks were dropped off at Altus and Altus AFB residences. Volunteers are asking that citizens fill the sacks and leave them at their doorsteps to be picked up this coming Saturday, Nov. 9. If you prefer, you can drop your filled sacks at any of the following businesses: AgPreference, Altus Chamber of Commerce, Altus Times, First National Bank, First State Bank, Jackson County Courthouse, KEYB Media Specialities, KWHW/KRKZ/KQ106, MidFirst Bank, NBC Oklahoma, Red River FCU, Shamrock Bank, Stockmans Bank or the VFW Post 4876.
In-house drives are also being conducted by Bar-S Food Company, City of Altus, Integris Medical Center, Jackson County Memorial Hospital , Southwest Technology Center, and Western Oklahoma State College.
Filled sacks can also be dropped off Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon at a Harvest for the Hungry truck that will be parked in the Bunker Hill Shopping Center parking lot.
