Altus Police arrested two juveniles, ages 15 and 16, Monday morning shortly before noon in connection with a 1st degree burglary at 804 East Nona.

A 13 year old, home sick from school, heard the suspects break into the house. He ran and hid in the bathroom and called his mother, who in turn called police.

When police arrived the suspects were seen running east bound in the alley. A foot pursuit began and the suspects were later found hiding in a house at 1046 Hickory Street. The suspects were taken into custody on charges of 1st degree burglary and damage to property. They were later transported to the Comanche County Juvenile Detention Center in Lawton.

Further investigation revealed the suspects abandoned property they were attempting to steal, including electronic equipment and a firearm, from the victims residence when they were interrupted by police. There were no injuries reported to police.
