Western Oklahoma State College is now the only location in the five -county area to provide the computer-based General Educational Development (GED) exam. There are five portions of the GED exam and each costs $28. Participants may take one exam or all five sections at once. Total test time is approximately seven hours. It is recommended that a tester allow two days to complete the entire exam. Scores are given for each section immediately, with the exception of the writing portion that is hand scored.
Registration and payment for the GED are completed online at www.gedtestingservice.com. Testers need only enter the zip code for Western (73521) to find the testing site. GED tests are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday. For more information, testers are encouraged to call Karla Moore, Western’s Director of Assessment at 580-477-7714.
