The Altus Times will be reintroducing the NIE (Newspapers In Education) Program for the 2015-16 school year. Sandy Graham, Altus Times Circulation Manager will be providing the area schools with program information as well as informing businesses on they can get involved as sponsors. The program promotes and increases our children’s literacy by using the newspaper as a teaching tool. The NIE program also helps motivate and teach students with a textbook as fresh as each day’s news.
