The buzz has been circulating that something is going on at the former popular restaurant, The Pantry, located at 123 E. Commerce. What are they doing over there? Who purchased the building? What will it be?
The property, formerly known as The Pantry, is currently being renovated and will soon be the new location of A-1 Locksmith, recently purchased by Kevin and Anita Woosley. Kevin Woosley is an Altus native that recently returned in January with his wife Anita, to be close to his parents. Kevin has a keen understanding for the historic value and significance of this particular property and is working to restore that.
“The Lord led us to move back. The move and this business opportunity was definitely divinely directed,” said Kevin and Anita. “We have a picture of the building from 1901 and we’re trying to get it to look as close to what it did then,” said Kevin Woosley.
It is important to the couple to make the transition of locations and ownership as smooth and seamless as possible.
“Jim Brand will still be apart of the business as our company manager. The town loves Jim. He has trained us and we will continue the great quality and service that he has for 25 years,” said Kevin Woosley.
The couple is not only invested in continuing the success of A-1 Locksmith, but they are also invested in the community and the people of Altus. Kevin and Anita Woosley attend Altus First Assembly and have been serving as apart of the Worship Ministry since March.
“We love people. We are excited to meet new people and to reacquaint with old friends,” said Anita Woosley.
A-1 Locksmith will re-open at 123 E. Commerce on Monday, August 3. The hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., with emergency services provided as available. The company services residential, business, banks and more; duplicating keys, creating keys from code and re-keying.
