AHS’s Freshman Orientation to be held Aug. 3

The staff and students of Altus High School invite the Class of 2019 to the sixth annual Link Crew Freshman Orientation on Monday, Aug. 3. The orientation will take place in the AHS Cafeteria, and will run from 8 a.m. to approximately 1 p.m.

The purpose of this orientation is to make the transition from junior high school to high school a pleasant and positive one. All freshmen are welcome and encouraged to come for a fun experience. Seniors and juniors will be serving as the 73 Link Crew Leaders that will mentor over 230 incoming freshmen. Link Crew Leaders will lead freshman through an opening assembly, orientation activities, a school tour, and team-building discussions. Large and small group activities throughout the day will address students’ needs and concerns about Altus High School in an enjoyable manner. All attendees should wear comfortable clothes and leave their things at home… travel light!
