On Friday the Altus Police Department or APD arrested 23-year-old Joseph Quvon Jefferson-McCullar of South Julian Street in Altus on the anticipated charge of second degree rape of a 14-year-old girl, officials said Monday.
According to the affidavit of arrest, on Aug. 3 the APD was contacted by a mother who said claimed that her 14-year-old daugher said she was allegedly raped by McCullar.
The victim’s mother also said McCullar made a vidio recording of the two of them having sex, the affidavit said.
The APD then interviewed the alleged victim and she stated that the incident occurred at McCullar’s residence, in which she was unable to describe the sheets or the blankets that were on the bed. She said she was invited by the accused, but that she was unaware that he wanted to have sex with her. The affidavit describes the teenager’s account of the encounter.
She recounted what allegedly occurred.
The APD did ask the alleged victim if she ever told the McCullar “no” while having sex with him. She said that she did not say no because she was scared of him. She did say that prior to incident, she did tell him “that she did not think they should have sex because of her age.”
The alleged victim was asked about the apparent video in question and she said that when she became aware of the video she asked the accused to delete it and attempted to take the phone from him, but was unable to do so.
The alleged victim also said that she told the accused several times that she loved him, however she said that she only did it to keep him from “doing something stupid.”
