The Department of Human Services or DHS is holding a T-shirt fundraiser to help foster children.
National Child Abuse Awareness Month was in April. The Jackson County DHS with partners April Marcha, owner of the Hideout Sports Bar, and Tonya Holloway, owner of Krazy Chics Kreations LLC have been seeking money to help youngsters in need of safe homes.
Organizers designed the T-shirts and are selling them to raise money for children in foster care and to help prevent child abuse. State DHS partners with public and private organizations to produce the best outcomes possible for the individuals and families they serve. They have raised $550 and are hoping to continue to raise more money to help the foster children.
Anyone can help the DHS and the involved groups to grow a safe and healthy community one foster child at a time by purchasing a T-shirt.
