Operation CARE is a local non-profit ministry that assists local individuals and families with food, utility payments and other items and services. One of the services they provide is a food pantry held on the third Saturday of each month.

The pantry is open from 11 a.m to 12 noon following a 10:30 a.m. devotion time.

Family Dollar in Altus is helping with the mission by setting up a display in the store for people to donate nonperishable food items. Operation CARE will use the donated items for their free monthly giveaway.

For more information about Operation CARE and the many services they provide, visit www.facebookpk.com/opcarealtus, or visit the office on a walk-in basis Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 11 a.m., or call 580-318-2490.
