Water treatment plant items will be the first thing on the agenda when the Altus Municipal Authority meets on Tuesday. The Altus City Council meeting will immediately follow.

The AMA will vote to purchase chemicals, not to exceed $14,000, to test the RO membranes at the city’s water treatment plant.

An economic development agreement between the Altus Municipal Authority and the Producers Cooperative Oil Mill for $115,000 in MAPS sales tax revenue in exchange for jobs and economic impact to Altus area will also be considered. Altus Chamber of Commerce President Brian Bush will speak on MAPS.

During the City Council meeting, a presentation will be given by the Jackson County Community Health Action Team on the possibility of creating a community garden and the possibility of a healthy living grant by Sophia Stoeckl and Lauren Mayes.

A budget amendment for $21,300.53 to ARAC to improve Missile Park will also be considered, as will approving a use permit to allow Jan Ivan Oden and the Family Life Church to use the former Altus Athletics Manufacturing facilities at 709 S. Veterans for the church location will be reviewed and considered.

A CableOne ordinance will be considered, as will a Fair Housing program item and a housing addition item.
