Driver entering traffic causes accident

Two vehicles collided when another vehicle attempted to enter traffic on US Highway 62 Monday evening. One of the vehicles left the road leaving skid marks on the highway. Even through the vehicle rolled, no injuries were reported.


Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to a non-injury accident east of Altus Monday evening. According to reports, the accident happened 4.6 miles east on US Highway 62 at approximately 6 p.m.

Officials report that there were three vehicles involved. Vehicle one was traveling on County Road 10 when the driver attempted to go west onto 62 with oncoming traffic. This caused two other vehicles to collide.

Vehicle three hit vehicle two from the rear resulting in vehicle three to roll over. Vehicle three then landed on the east side of US Hwy 62.

Although vehicles two and three collided, and vehicle three rolled, there were no injuries reported. Names of those involved in the accident were not released.
