Outreach clinics contribute to admissions

Michelle Ford reported at this weeks Jackson County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees meeting that the outreach clinics contributed a total of 212 admissions and 162 outpatient surgeries and observations to JCMH for the month of January. Financials for the month of January ended with a net income of $58,332.

Also during the meeting Jim King reported the highlights from the Performance Improvement Council meeting that was held on Feb. 3, and then presented the patient complaint summary for the second and third quarters.

It was reported that fixed assets from funded depreciation and designated funds to funded depreciation were approved in the amount of $156,589.48. It was said that Conflict of Interest Statements from the Board of Trustees were approved and will be submitted to the Oklahoma Secretary of State.

Dr. Katseres reported from the JCMH Medical Staff Executive Committee meeting, then the Board approved initial appointment to Jacob S Helt, PA-C – Physician Assistant for Dr. Clark, Allied Health Staff; and reappointments to Addi Abuelshar, MD – Internal Medicine/Hospitalist, Active Staff; Roy L. Goddard, MD – Emergency Medicine, Active Staff; Pamela J. Hyde, DO – OB/GYN, Active Staff; Richard Katseres, MD – General Surgery, Active Staff; Noble L. Ballard, MD – Family Medicine, Courtesy Staff; Charles C. Carter, MD – Family Medicine, Courtesy Staff; and Melanie Kahn, MD – Pathology, Courtesy Staff. A Provisional Staff Change was also approved for Dave S. Spear, MD – Emergency Medicine; and Charles E. Stewart, MD – Emergency Medicine.

Steve Hartgraves gave the management report thato included continued recruitment for an additional general surgeon; inpatient, outpatient and outreach revenues by looking at trended data for the past 32 months; Rural Health Clinic (RHC) Development; and a Women’s Center Update. It was said that construction documents are being developed and are expected to be complete by late spring with expected completion date of project by the end of 2016.
