Plans made for 72nd Jr. Livestock Show

staff reports

The 72nd annual Jackson County Junior Livestock Show will be held Feb. 26 through Feb. 29. The Premium Auction will be held Feb. 29. All livestock show activities will be held at the Jackson County Expo Center.

This youth agriculture related educational program is sponsored by the Altus Chamber of Commerce.

The overall purpose of the show is to highlight agriculture and provide a forum for the youth of our county to look at agriculture as a career choice.

These students spend many hours raising their animals, keeping records and then showing them.

The Show Catalog will be available through the chamber office. For more information about the livestock show or other chamber sponsored activities, visit their website at www.altuschamber.com.
