Altus Police responded to a shooting on N. Willard Dec. 23, 2015 after a soon-to-be ex husband showed up at the victims house and forced his way in. He discovered another man in the home and gunfire was exchanged between the two male subjects.
Altus Police Chief Tim Murphy said that the ex, Jason Biddlecom, had been shot in the leg and was later treated at Jackson County Memorial Hospital and released.
At the time, investigators interviewed and released both subjects, but the case was submitted to the Jackson County District Attorneys Office for review.
Murphy said that Biddlecom was arrested at his home on Jan. 13 on an unrelated felony arrest warrant for Motion to Accelerate a Suspended Sentence, and on a Driving Under the Influence charge. Biddlecom was then arrested late Wednesday on two additional felony arrest warrants. The charges were for Child neglect and Possession of a Pistol While Serving a Term of Probation. His bond has been set at $125,000 dollars. He remains incarcerated in the Jackson County jail.
