staff reports

The LEGO Foundation “We Care and Share Project” provides free LEGO bricks to libraries across the nation to encourage both creative and analytical thinking. Through this program, the Altus Public Library has scheduled several LEGO workshops for three different age groups. All workshops are scheduled for Saturdays from 3 to 4 p.m.

The first “Making LEGO Creations” workshop is set for Jan. 23 for ages 9-14. Other dates for this age group are April 23, July 23, and Oct. 22.

For ages 6-10, workshops are set for Feb. 20, May 14, Aug. 20 and Nov. 19. The workshop dates for ages 3-7 will be March 19, June 18, Sept. 24, and Dec. 17.

Due to it’s past popularity, space for the workshops are limited. The library will start signing children up approximately two weeks before the date of the events.

The Altus Public Library is located at 421 N. Hudson. For more information, call the library at 477-2890.
