Word on the Street

After this past weekend’s winter storm left snow and ice accumulations, and caused a mass power outage, the weather has been the main topic of discussion in town. The Altus Times hit the icy streets to ask folks to share both a positive and a negative experience from the week.

You might think that the majority of folks would be negative, but there were some great positive responses. If you would like to add to the discussion, visit the Altus Times Facebook page and add a comment.

“The positive was how fast I got my electricity turned back on, and the negative was being cold and not being prepared.” — Bobbie Joe Chambers

“The positive service from Altus Power, they were quick and very helpful. My negative is it’s not fun when you don’t have a plan for power going out.” — Cynthia Alcorta
