Churches to hold special Christmas Eve services

Several churches held special Christmas programs as part of their Sunday services this week. Some will also be holding special Christmas Eve services on Thursday.

Emmanuel Baptist Church, 800 N. Forrest, invites all to their Christmas Eve Candlight Service. There will be singing of Christmas Carols, the reading of the Christmas story, and the observance of the Lord’s Supper. The special services will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 721 N. Thomas, also invites the community to their Christmas Eve Service. Reverend in Charge is Suzanne Mollison, organ music will be provided by Tom Cotner at 10 p.m., the Holy Eucharist begins at 10:30 p.m., and there will be a reception to follow. Martha Road Baptist Church is also inviting the community to attend a candlelight Christmas Eve service, Dec. 24. The service will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the service. Those attending will enjoy a special candle light worship service.
