The Department of Human Services serves children in the foster family program in Jackson, Kiowa, Harmon, Tillman, and Greer Counties.

The family of the late Blake “Two Throwd ” Lopez, gathered toys from Altus and the metro area for the children.

Rapper and music artist Blake Lopez was born and raised in Altus, but later moved to Moore. After making several CDs and when his music career was at its prime, he returned to his hometown. Lopez had the compassionate idea of hosting a rap concert and a toy drive for kids.

A DHS representative said, “The holidays is an awesome time to see the many generous people within our community willing to lend a helping hand.”

After his untimely death four years ago, his family and friends continue his project in memory of how Blake just wanted to make some kids happy on Christmas.
