Bank employees visit with patrons during their open house even on Thursday.

Frazer Bank, formerly First National Bank of Altus, held their Christmas Open House event on Thursday. Bank employees served patrons a free barbecue lunch as students from Washington, Sunset and Roosevelt Elmentary Schools sang Christmas carols.

The bank changed from a National Bank to a State Bank, so it was necessary for the bank’s name to change. The name Frazer was selected because they wanted a name that was unique and new while still remaining true to our local heritage. The name reflects the original settlement of Frazer that later became Altus. The new name became offical on Dec. 14.
