Agriculture Commodity Marketing meeting planned

The Jackson and Greer County Extension Offices and Southwest Technology Center (SWTC) will offer a commodity market meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 16 from noon to 1 p.m., in Room 109, at SWTC. Discussion leaders will be Dr. Kim Anderson, OSU Extension Grain Marketing Specialist and Dr. Derrel Peel, OSU Livestock Marketing Specialist. Topics addressed will be the grain and livestock markets. These meetings are designed to foster a better understanding of how the market operates, how to best utilize the market, reports on current market status, and brief crop or crop program updates.

This meeting will be conducted utilizing live interactive technology with the Stillwater Campus, meaning they will be able to see and hear us and vice versa. A light free lunch will be served.

Pre-registration for any of these meetings is requested (but not required) by 4 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 15 at the Jackson County Extension Office, 580-482-0823 or the Greer County Extension Office at 580-782-5502.
