Over 35 local volunteers, along with the City of Altus, the Air Force Sergeants Association, the Disabled American Vets, the Veteran of Foreign Wars and the Altus Air Force Base invite the public to the Wreaths Across America ceremony that will be held tomorrow, Saturday Dec. 12 at the Altus City Cemetery. The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m.

The Wreaths Across America project was started 23 years ago by the Worcester Wreath Company of Harrington Maine. Over a million wreaths later, the tradition of providing wreaths for Veteran graves still reaches across the entire United States.

Local volunteers and groups gather individual and business donations for the 1,332 wreaths that will be placed on the graves to honor our fallen warriors.
