‘Tired of Turkey’ dinner, auction to benefit Project Noel

Shopping has begun for Project Noel Altus 2015. Bob Melton, Julie Lynch, Christa Murphy and Mitzi Pate began selecting gifts last week.


Project Noel Altus 2015 coordinators are sponsoring a “Tired of Turkey” Dinner and Auction to benefit Project Noel on Wednesday, Dec. 2. All procedes from the brisket meal go to purchase gifts for needy children ages 1 to 17 living in Jackson County.

The meal will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Family Life Center at First United Methodist Church, located at North Main and West Cypress. Cost of the meal is by donations to Project Noel.

A live auction of His and Her gift items will begin at 6:15 p.m. A silent auction begins at 5 p.m. Gift items will be nice quality and perfect for someone on your Christmas list. The live and silent auctions will include gift items donated by local businesses. Items will include quilts, jewelry, purses, wallets, home décor, candy, sports tickets and much more.
