Getting ready for ‘Festival of Trees’ event

The Holidays are almost here and it’s once again time for the Shortgrass Arts and Humanities Council’s 29th Annual Festival of Trees. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, Dec.r 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Days Inn Altus, 2804 N. Main Street.

This festive evening will offer musical entertainment provided by the Altus High School Acappella Choir, the BluHarmonix directed by Nick Young; great food; as well as the silent and live auctions of unique Holiday items, original art work, food and entertainment packages, and gift baskets.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a social hour of holiday music, a dinner and dessert buffet, and the silent auction. The live auction will start at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $25 per person and are available at the Altus Chamber of Commerce and through the Shortgrass office and Board members. All proceeds will go to the Shortgrass Arts and Humanities Council to sponsor the 2016 Chautauqua as well as other annual projects and programs.
